Oregon

Our first stop on our West Coast road trip was in Hood River, Oregon.  The Columbia River Gorge runs along this city and it is so pretty.  The main reason Todd wanted to stop here was because there was mountain biking.  They have some amazing trails with built features and it was all for free! We arrived in Hood River really late the first night so we just laid out our sleeping bags and called it a night.  After a morning of biking, we stopped at Multnomah Falls and then headed into Portland.  Multnomah Falls is a huge waterfall and they built a bridge over the lower falls to walk across.  We hiked up to a look out that is right above the falls.  Everything is so green and covered with moss.  We drove by the temple and it is very pretty.  We didn't go in because we were still in our biking/ hiking clothes.  We ended up spending the next night in Cannon Beach.  It was so fun to camp right by the ocean.  The Oregon Coast is so pretty but the water is way too cold!  We also stopped in Astoria, which is where the Ocean meets the Columbia River.

They would cruise around the parking lot and then get out of
their jazzy chairs and walk out on the sand.
