Colter Bay 2011

July 24th - July 30th, 2011
Every year over the 24th of July, my dad's side of the family goes to Colter Bay for a week.  My grandparents started this tradition when my dad was a little boy and have gone every year since.  This year I didn't think I was going to make it.  Starting a new job on July 11th, I didn't think I should ask for a week off only being there for 2 weeks.  However, I did and my manager said yes! I was so excited to be able to go.  I haven't missed this trip for the last 24 years and I didn't want to miss it this year.  I was the only lucky one out of my siblings that was able to make it this year.  And of course we took Lenna to give her parents a little break with a new baby at home.

I love this place!

We enjoyed lots boating, hiking, skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, airchairing, swimming at the lodge, going to Moose Falls and spending time with the family.

Lenna loved tubing! She just wanted to go faster the whole time!

Skiing with views like this doesn't get any better! I love these mountains!! 

Moose Falls! We go to this waterfall every year to jump off it! This year my dad and I jumped together, which was a little scary due to the fact that you have to land in the perfect spot or there is a good chance you will hit rocks.

Baby Henry

While I was in Utah, my sister had her baby! I was so happy that I was able to be there!

I was definitely spoiled this year on my birthday.
(Yes, it was over a month ago.  I'm just a little behind)

Dinner and a movie at Cinebistro with Todd

I loved it! I may have cried a few times too.  I can't believe its over. Creme Brulee during the movie! I definitely enjoyed it!

Virginia Beach

We were lucky enough to tag along with the Vanhille's to Virginia Beach the weekend before Todd and Derek started their 2nd year of medical school.  It was a beautiful weekend!  Perfect weather, warm water, decent waves to surf, and awesome friends! 

The best part of the trip was our sleeping arrangements! Lara tells the story better on her blog but long story short, they got a hotel through priceline and we were going to share it.  We went to dinner and hung out at beach for awhile and when we finally went to check in, it was pretty late.  They didn't have any rooms left with 2 beds or a pull-out couch.  So Todd and I enjoyed a roll away bed with Jack! (just kidding, Jack really didn't sleep with us, he just watched videos with Todd before bed).  It worked out just fine!  Todd and I are pretty easy to please and can sleep just about anywhere!

We had so much fun and the hotel situation made it even better!Thanks Vanhille's! Let's do it again!! 

Frisbee Golf and Flowriding

We love Snowbasin! Especially in the winter.However, the summer is nice too!Todd beat us all in frisbee golf and I took last!But I'm going to blame it on the rattlesnake.I was a little nervous after seeing him.

We also enjoyed a flowriding session.It's always fun minus the crashes.

Lake Powell

We had a great time in Lake Powell this year!Lots of skiing, wakeboarding, surfing and airchairing. Todd and Brandon both landed backflips on the new Sky Ski!We visited Moki Canyon to play on the big sand hilland participated in a Redneck Relay thanks to the Bakers.Eric and I had the fastest times overall!Until next time...
